Religious education is light
Religious education is light
Maulana Julhas Mahmud Chowdhury
The importance and virtue of madrasa education
Education is the backbone of the nation, education is the light, education brings the nation from darkness to the path of light, Allah has taught the beloved Prophet Muhammad Mustafa (peace be upon him) through the heavenly book. Religious education is compulsory for the children of Muslims. A beautiful living world can be made. There is peace and welfare in religious education. The educational system of Muhammad in the Ummah begins with the words of the Creator - Read in the name of your Lord Who created you (Surah Al-A'laq, verse 1).
It is obligatory to seek religious knowledge. Many things are required while forming the structure of religious education. It is highlighted below.
1. Suffa is the first university of Islam
2. Like Max Mueller and like Captain Hamilton
3. Introduce two-way education system
4. Bani of Allama Iqbal
5. Education is an advanced yoga formula with man and God
6. GOD has taught man what he did not know
7. Ahi in the cave of Hera

10. Take 10 people to paradise on the recommendation of one person
11. Establishment of Dhaka Alia Madrasa
12. There are various government and private jobs in the madrasa profit
13. We should develop madrasa education
Suffa is the first university of Islam
The ‘Suffa’ located in the Nawabi Mosque is the first educational center or university in Islam. The Prophet (peace be upon him) was the first teacher and the Companions were the first students. This is where the history of education begins.
In the era of Kholafaye Rashedin, Umayyad and Abbasid caliphs, Islamic education greatly improved and the education system reached a perfection. In the Muslim-ruled Indian subcontinent, Muslim rulers made a significant contribution to the education system.
They set up a basic structure of Islamic education. There were 1000 madrasas in the capital Delhi alone.
Like Max Mueller and like Captain Hamilton
According to Professor Max Mueller, there were 60,000 madrasas in Bengal alone before the British rule. According to Captain Hamilton, there were four hundred institutes of science and art in the famous Thattangari of Sindh. After the defeat at the Battle of Palashi in 1757, Muslim rule in the subcontinent came to an end. The beginning was English rule. The English applied the principle of Divide and rule to keep their rule for a long time.
Introducing two-way education system-
The main goal was to create a racial divide among Muslims by introducing a two-pronged education system.
Among the educational systems recommended by Lord Meckel in 1835, the purpose of introducing two retrograde education systems is clearly noticeable. Their policy has been successfully implemented. The British left our country in 1947, but their education system is still intact. In the long run
Bani of Allama Iqbal-
Despite some changes in the curriculum, the basic structure of education policy is still unchanged. But the importance of Islamic education or madrasa education in building an ideal nation is huge.
Allama Iqbal said that education is the process of developing the soul.
In the field of education, the task of Islamic ideology is to cultivate a complete humanity. It has such a complete program that man does not give up his body, intellect and soul in his material and spiritual life and in every activity of the worldly life. And no one is neglected or overly inclined.
Education Advanced Yoga Sutras with Man and Allah-
According to Milton, education is an everlasting process in which the physically and mentally developed free-conscious humanity develops an advanced connection with the Creator, as revealed in the human intellectual, emotional, and willful environment. The purpose of education is to create people with moral values. The Creator says about the deeds of the prophets and messengers who were sent to the earth by God to lead mankind to the right way of life. He purifies the soul and teaches the way of life. But before that they were in clear error (Surah: Jumu'ah, verse 2).
Allah has taught man what he did not know
From the beginning of the Islamic era, in the Middle Ages and even more recently until the colonial era, the importance of Muslim educational institutions was on the Qur'an, Hadith, Sirat and Fiqh. At the same time, sociology, political science, all sciences were important. What has been said about the importance of education in Islam cannot be found in any scripture or scholarly statement in the world. The first word of the Qur'an was about education. As the Creator says- Read in the name of your Lord Who created. He created man from clotted blood. Read and your Lord is glorious. Who taught with the help of pen. He taught man what he did not know (Surah: Alaq, verses 1-5).
Hera cave ahi-
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) returned to the cave of Hera in a state of fear and told his wife Khadija (ra) all the facts. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) learned from Allaah and declared: I have been sent as a teacher (Ibn Majah). In the end, Irshad is saying that acquiring knowledge is obligatory on every Muslim (Ibn Majah). In order to eradicate illiteracy, the Prophet (peace be upon him) announced the ransom of 70 prisoners of war in the historic battle of Badr.
Hazrat Mus'ab Ibn Umayr (R.) is the teacher to be sent to Medina. The first formal educational institution-
Darul Arkam is known as the first formal educational institution in the history of Islam. The eminent Companion Hazrat Arkam (ra) was the owner of this house. After becoming a Muslim, he dedicated this house to Islam.
At the request of the Muslims of Medina, the Prophet (peace be upon him) sent Mus'ab ibn Umayr to Medina as a teacher. He used to stay at the house of Abu Usama Ibn Jurara and teach the Qur'an. It is considered to be the first school in Medina.
The Prophet (peace be upon him) about educating daughters encourage-
During the Hijrah, the vehicle of the Prophet (peace be upon him) came to a halt at the house of the camel Abu Ayub Ansari (peace be upon him). The Prophet (peace be upon him) stayed in that house and continued the course for about 6 months. In the mosque, on the north side of the Nawabi, a shelter was set up with a canopy of palm leaves. This is known as ‘Suffah’ in the history of Islam. The inhabitants are known as Ahl al-Suffah. The education system of the Prophet (peace be upon him) was a unified education system. There was no difference. Everyone had equal opportunity to gain knowledge. (Sa.) has given enough encouragement to educate daughters. The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Whoever raises three daughters, teaches them manners, marries them and treats them well, will enter Paradise (Abu Dawood).
Ayesha, the wife of the Prophet (peace be upon him), made a great contribution to education and initiation. He acquired knowledge on all subjects including Hadith and Fiqh. 2210 hadiths were narrated from him.
10 people in paradise on the recommendation of one person Take-
After faith, knowledge is the first way to increase one's dignity in the sight of Allah. The Creator says: Allah will raise up among you those who believe and those who have been given knowledge (Surah Mujadala, verse 11). Worship is also to walk, walk, suffer, etc. to learn knowledge. Their dignity is very high in the sight of Allah. (Bukhari, Muslim). The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) narrated from Abdullah ibn Amr (may Allaah be pleased with him) that the reciter of the Qur'aan will be told to recite and keep going up the stairs and recite in a melodious voice as he fell into the world with the taratil.
Surely your destination will be where the reading ends (Tirmidhi, Abu Dawood). It was narrated on the authority of Ali ibn Abu Talib that the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Allaah will admit him to Paradise and give him the opportunity to intercede for the ten people for whom Hell is destined (Tirmidhi, Ibn Majah and Bayhaqi).
Establishment of Dhaka Alia Madrasa-
Narrated Jabir bin Abdullah: The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said: Alim and Abed will be resurrected. Then Abed will be told to go to Paradise. And the scholar will be told to stand up so that he can make a recommendation because of what you have taught (Bayhaqi).
The great contribution in the field of madrasa education is the formation of honest and ideal person. Hazrat Maulana Qasim Nanutbi (Rah.) Established the Darul Uloom Deoband Madrasa on 30 May 18 to overcome the irreparable loss to Islam and Muslims after the defeat in the battle of Palashi. Aligarh University was established by Sir Syed Ahmed Khan. In 181, under pressure from Muslims, the present Dhaka Alia Madrasa was established in Calcutta (West Bengal) as a system of Arabic education. After the independence of the country in 1947, it was shifted to Dhaka.
Various government and private jobs in the madrasa profit-
Madrasa education prevents educated people from committing immoral acts such as theft, robbery, murder, adultery, usury and bribery. After receiving education in the madrasa, the students engaged in various government and non-government jobs as well as Friday sermons, waz mahfils, meetings and seminars in the mosque and personally advised the people to live honestly in the light of Quran and Sunnah. Listening to their advice, ordinary people try to live honestly. Moreover, public and private madrasas are making a significant contribution to the eradication of illiteracy in collaboration with the wealthy children of many poor families and helpless orphans. Therefore, there is no denying the role of madrasa education in building an honest and ideal nation.
We should develop madrasa education-
The Prophet (peace be upon him) was able to transform a barbaric and uneducated nation into a well-educated and well-organized and best nation with the light of education. We should also develop madrasa education to a level where there is no difference between our schools, colleges and universities. Again, the integration of Islamic ideals and values in school, college and university education should be brought to such a level that there is no difference between the Islamic ideas and environment of madrasa education. There is no substitute for practicing religious values to produce a morally, ideologically and morally strong manpower. This important aspect must be given priority in the education system.
Above all, Islam is a complete system of life. Therefore, it is a moral duty to make proper arrangements for the complete Islamic education of the child. It includes prophetic work.
If parents neglect their duty towards their children, they will have to stand on the fence of the accused in the hereafter. The Creator says: O our Lord! Show us the jinn and the people who led us astray, we will trample them down so that they may be humiliated enough (Surah: Ha-Meem-Sijdah, verse 29). May the Creator grant us the tawfiq to implement it. Amen.
